Pedro is the founder of Marnoa Private Wealth Counsel. He started in the industry as an advisor in 1997, and in 2024 he founded Marnoa to bring that experience into a firm built around a simple philosophy: every client deserves a financial road map built specifically around them — their goals, their timeline, and their unique tolerance for risk. Nearly three decades of experience now shape the personalized approach at the core of how he works with clients.
As a Portfolio Manager, Pedro holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®) designations, is a Cross Border Advisor, and is also a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in the United States. This cross-border registration allows Pedro to advise clients with financial needs spanning both Canada and the United States — including individuals holding U.S. retirement assets such as IRAs and 401(k)s, as well as those who’ve inherited accounts like IRAs — giving cross-border families a single, coordinated point of contact for their investment planning.
Pedro is married to his high school sweetheart, Suzanne, and together they have two children, Marissa and Noah and are proud grandparents. Community has always mattered to him: he has served as a director and member of the Investment Committee for the Waterloo Region Community Foundation and spent many years as a Director and Past President of the Rotary Club of Cambridge Preston-Hespeler.
Outside the office, Pedro can usually be found with a good book or out on the golf course — though his real passions are boating and fishing.
